Awesome Dutch softshell jacket with a wind-resistant and water-resistant membrane. State-of-the-art modern military surplus from the land of tulips and windmills. In addition to military use, you can wear it as a stand-alone jacket in spring and fall or as a mid-layer in winter. We sometimes get these in coyote brown and sometimes in olive drab versions that differ from each other to some extent in their features.
Here’s a damn nice softshell jacket designed for professional military use. Also suitable for all sorts of leisurely activities in the windy and rainy spring and fall weather. Because the seasons are somewhat unpredictable nowadays, this also works nicely on colder summers and warmer winters in certain parts of the world.
The coyote brown jacket is made of 86% polyester and 14% elastane. The lining is 100% polyester. The olive drab jacket is 95% polyester and 5% spandex. Both have a wind- and water-resistant membrane. The coyote brown comes with a PU-membrane, the material of the olive green one isn’t given.
Machine wash at 40 degrees Celsius (104 F) but don’t use fabric softeners.
Sizes in the simplified system. This softshell jacket is made to be fairly snug because softshells are at their best when they aren’t huge tents. If you have very long arms or you like more loose-fitting garments, pick one size bigger than what you normally wear.
The model in the pictures of the coyote brown jacket is 175 cm (5’9”) tall, with a 98 cm (38.6”) chest and 86 cm (33.9”) waist. He is wearing the size Medium jacket.
Used Dutch military surplus but in very good condition. However, we cannot give any 110% guarantees on the membranes. The ones we photographed were nicely water-resistant but we cannot unfortunately check the whole batch. This has been taken into consideration in pricing. Considering the nice overall condition, the membranes can’t be complete crap either.
