What comes to leather jackets, the Germans have long traditions of these items of style and fascis-, uh fascination. Nowadays replaced with happy attitude and bright polyester uniforms, these not-so-old leathery relics have been retired and sold off to civilian market. Wohoo!
A right and proper "Matula" model, which means it's a blouson-style jacket with four front pockets (even Matula didn't have as many). Inside a satin lining. These are made of very high-quality strong leather, will stand up to rough mann-gegen-mann abuse and would make Rob Halford jealous.
Remove other clothes, wipe the leather jacket lightly with leather oil. In reality, this is pretty much care-free and only gets a credible patina with use.
Sizes in Euro sizes, half Euro sizes, and double Euro sizes. Confused? Don't worry, look at the numbers in the brackets; the user's recommended height and chest circumference. The sizes run rather large! If you want a tighter fit, pick a size smaller (smaller chest size) than recommended.
Proper used, still very serviceable. Who knows how many unsuspecting civilians have been Very Thoroughly searched on the quiet country roads of West Germany / unified Germany with the officer wearing just these jackets. Many jackets have "POLIZEI" stamped on the back. It can be removed with some time and effort. In all honesty we must say that some of these are made in the 2000's.
