Along with the beret, a side cap or garrison cap is among the most recognizable pieces of military headwear. It was more common in the past but still often seen used with a dress uniform, or a bomber jacket if you're a dandy pilot. Here's an Austrian side cap as issued currently by the Bundesheer to members of the Air Force.
Note! In some cases, the cockade has been removed. As it was embroidered directly instead of applied as a separate patch, the fabric will not look perfect underneath.
Manufactured to the European size system: head circumference in centimeters. We have converted these to the nearest US hat size. Your exact size will sit a wee bit high on the head as a side cap should. If you want to wear it lower, pick a larger size.
These are used pieces of headwear but never dragged on the ground in combat. Still good for dressing sharp. The most noteworthy thing is that the cockade and other insignia might be missing. (If you are going to wear this in public, consider stripping the front bare even if they are present.)
