Technical details and instructions

Materials

62% Merino wool, 25% polyamide, 10% polypropylene, and 3% elastane.

And yes, the wool is mulesing-free!

Care

Machine wash inside out at 40° C (104° F), wool program and wool detergent recommended. No tumble drying. If you pull the socks inside out and hang them to air between uses, washing is less frequently necessary.

The final fit is achieved after one wash cycle, as the sock will shrink about 3–5% in the first wash. This is taken into account in sizing.

L1 - Base Layer

The first layer of the Varusteleka clothing system is tasked with moisture management. A good next-to-skin base layer keeps you feeling comfortable in any condition. To do this, it needs to be lightweight and effectively moisture-wicking. We use a lightweight merino wool blend for our base layers, a natural and very functional material for this purpose.
