Spyderco Tenacious R.I.L. Blue Titanium Folding Knife

The flagship EDC folder from Spyderco’s Value series, now with a titanium handle and a frame lock. The Tenacious R.I.L. is made in two versions. This is the one with a satin-finished blade and brightly finished handle. 

Tenacious was created to deliver all the signature qualities of a Spyderco CLIPIT® design at a budget-friendly price. However, more recently, it has evolved to include upscale versions with high-performance materials and enhanced features. The Tenacious R.I.L. elevates the design to all-new heights with titanium handle scales and an ultra-reliable Reeve Integral Lock™ (R.I.L.) mechanism. 

Lightweight and durable titanium handle

Meticulously crafted from solid 6AL4V titanium, the scales feature precision-machined recesses on their interior surfaces to minimize weight and are color-anodized a brilliant blue.  

Reliable frame lock

The reverse-side scale is machined to create an integral lock bar that forms the basis of the knife’s Reeve Integral Lock (R.I.L.), more commonly known as the “Frame Lock.” It includes an inlaid stainless steel interface that ensures a positive lock-up and a long service life, and it functions as an overtravel stop during lock release.

The business end of this remarkable knife features a full-flat ground, PlainEdge™ blade crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel. Its fully accessible Trademark Round Hole™ provides swift, ambidextrous, one-hand opening and unmistakably identifies the knife’s Spyderco pedigree. 

4-position pocket clip

To ensure convenient carry and immediate access, the handle features a broad-based pocket clip that can be mounted in four positions, allowing left- or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry.
