Description
A legendary folder that has been one of the top-selling Spydercos since the ‘80s. It is the larger sibling of Spyderco Delica. This model has a an FRN handle and either a plain, unserrated or partially serrated stainless steel blade with a reliable back lock mechanism.
History
In the 1980s, the original Spyderco Endura blazed a trail as one of the first lightweight clip-carry folding knives. It and its smaller counterpart, Spyderco Delica, also popularized fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) as a handle material. They settled as Spyderco's top two bestsellers, which isn’t a surprise, really. Now in its fourth generation, Endura has also inspired a wide range of variations such as this one.
Blade
This knife features a saber-ground stainless steel blade with either an unserrated PlainEdge or partially serrated CombinationEdge. The high-quality VG-10 stainless steel comes from Japan. You can open the knife with both hands using Spyderco’s Trademark Round Hole. The blade is secured in place by a sturdy back lock mechanism (also known as the lock back and, in this case, mid-lock) that allows an easy ambidextrous lock release.
Handle
The Spyderco Endura knife features an injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle with Bi-Directional texturing that keeps the knife firmly in your grip even in wet and slippery conditions. The handle is strengthened with dual skeletonized stainless steel liners. Its four-position pocket clip can be easily configured for tip-up or tip-down carry on either side of the body. It is now set up for the right-handed carry. The handle also has a lanyard hole.
