Spiritus Systems TAPS Upgrade Kit MK2

The Spiritus Systems TAPS Upgrade Kit is a complete retrofit package for the issued Tactical Assault Panel (TAP), designed to improve functionality, ergonomics, and modularity.

NOTE: This is an upgrade set – it does not work on its own. You must already have an issued TAP / Tactical Assault Panel to use these parts.

Included Components

1. MOLLE SACK Pouch

The MOLLE SACK Pouch shares the same form factor as the standard SACK and is ideal for storing an IFAK or other essential gear at the body’s centerline.

• Rotatable MOLLE wings lock securely through the webbing
• Other MOLLE items can be mounted over the SACK’s tabs

2. Fat Strap Mk4

Replaces the standard TAP Y-harness to improve comfort and compatibility with rucks and other load-bearing gear.

• Flat back connector panel prevents interference with other straps
• Connects via included MOLLE-mounted Fastex buckles

3. Back Strap

Replaces the original TAP waist strap to provide a more secure fit and reduce movement of heavy equipment.

• Secondary anchor point stabilizes heavy gear such as radios

4. Bungee Retention Kit

Replaces standard hook-and-loop magazine flaps with a quieter, more durable retention system.

• Bungee retention tabs eliminate Velcro wear and noise

5. Radio Bungee Retention Kit

Includes four radio retention tabs that mount to the outer pockets of the Tactical Assault Panel.

• Hook-and-loop tabs with barrel locks allow adjustable tension

6. Female Fastex Buckles

Four split-back female Fastex buckles mount onto the outer MOLLE loops to provide secure clip-in points for the Fat Strap and Back Strap.

7. Posi-Lock Zipper Pull Loop

Replaces the oversized zipper tab on the inside admin pocket for improved grip and control.

Compatibility

This kit is designed specifically for issued Tactical Assault Panels. It does not include the TAP itself and cannot be used as a standalone chest rig.

Notes

• MK2 now ships with the updated Fat Strap Mk4; all other components are identical to the original TAPS Kit
