Strong and simple

This harness was designed especially for Savotta Keikka duffel bags, which readily have D-rings as suitable mating points. Other bags may include similar details, so these are semi-universal in that sense. 

Although no duffel bag on your bag will ever come close to carrying a purpose-built rucksack when it comes to comfort, it's prudent to try to make it as un-uncomfortable as possible.
