A Y-shaped tri-tab made from a super-strong PVC laminate. This little buddy keeps its shape firmly and offers good friction, these properties make it a great shock cord retainer for open-top magazine pouches, especially for AK-type magazines.

This tab can be used to upgrade any straight tab open-top magazine pouch for better function with AK magazines. Many AR-15 open-top pouches use a simple straight tab which just sits neatly against the floor plate of the straight AR-15 mag. But, since AK magazines are curved that won´t do the trick, you need a Y-shaped tab like this to safely anchor against the top corner of the mag.

This particular material is also used in snowshoes and Finnish army tents as corner reinforcements. Tried and tested, even in extreme arctic sub-zero temperatures. The natural friction gives great grip even in wet conditions or when wearing gloves.
