Technical details and instructions

High-quality Merino wool

  • 80% merino wool, 20% polyester
  • weight 180 g/m2 / 5.3 oz/yd2
  • 19,5 micron

Mulesing free! All our merino wool products are made using mulesing-free certified merino wool.

Merino wool is fully organic wool that comes from a certain species of sheep. In case you are wondering, mulesing-free means that the profits aren’t ripped from the sheep’s ass. In other words, this is more ethical. The polyester content adds abrasion resistance to the otherwise quite weak wool.

Made in Lithuania.

Wash and care

This merino wool blend is machine-washable at 40 degrees Celsius (104 F), but washing is seldom necessary - wool cleans itself. If you do wash them, don't leave the gloves in a wet lump after washing. Reshape them gently while still damp and hang to dry. When not in use, air them out and give them a good shake after that.

Thick insulated mittens and gloves are a necessity in extremely cold environments, they do a great job at keeping your hands warm but also make all kinds of tasks difficult. Lightweight liner gloves help bridge that gap between warm weather and heavyweight winter gloves by extending the use of your regular gloves far into the cold and wet seasons.

Merino wool is a fantastic choice for next-to-skin wear; most notably it feels good against the skin and retains it´s insulating properties even when soaking wet. So it's like regular wool, but better. Oh, and did we already mention how nice it feels?

Durable liner gloves

Liner gloves must be fitting and as thin as possible, otherwise they just don't work. But with such lightweight and intricate construction comes many problems, how can you make them strong enough? We went through numerous other manufacturer's gloves when designing these and came to the conclusion that the single biggest challenge is in the seams, no matter how high-end you go the seams are always the first to give up.

With generous inlays and chain stitching combined with our trusted 80/20 merino/polyester blend we came to a functional result. These are pretty much as strong as liner gloves can be without sacrificing functionality. When used correctly the L1 liner gloves will serve you a long time!

L1 - Base Layer

A good next-to-skin base layer keeps you feeling comfortable in any conditions to do this it needs to be lightweight and effectively moisture wicking. We use a lightweight merino wool blend for our base layers, natural and very functional material for this purpose.
