Beyond A7 Fereday Jacket, MultiCam, Surplus

A thermal bolero-style jacket designed to work with plate carriers. It gives immediate access to your gear on the front. For civilians, it provides a tacticool Käärijä outfit or something warm to pair with your fishing vest. Made in the USA by Beyond, a company known for high quality and even higher prices.

A purpose-built alternative to Beyond’s  A7 Cold Jacket. This jacket is cut high in the front to allow access to your chest-mounted kit. The long back keeps the back protected from the elements. The drawstring to tighten the jacket's hem around the plate carrier is accessible on either side.

The jacket is made from a DWR-coated nylon ripstop shell over Climashield APEX Insulation. It has an integrated hood and a 2-way front zipper. You’ll also find adjustable wrists, a rank loop chest patch, along with bicep loop patches, plus Cordura-reinforced elbows and a mapped Cordura liner for reinforcement. The whole thing can be stuffed into an internal chest pocket.

Axios Layering System

This jacket is part of Beyond’s earlier Axios layering system, where A7 is the Axios Layer 7, Static Insulation. Later on, Beyond switched to the L-system.

Condition

Unused American military surplus still in plastic wrapping. Before you turn on Caps Lock and type "why does surplus cost this much," note that this is unissued, and these have cost craploads more when new.
