Measurements

These are in EU hat sizes, which is the head circumference in centimeters. We added the imperial units for those who like them more. The fit is quite relaxed; definitely no need to size up. If you like a tight fit, one size smaller than usual might come into question.

Technical details and instructions

Materials

Made from Italian wool fabric: 70% recycled wool, because wool is best, and 30% recycled polyamide for strength. Fabric weight 370 g/m2, which is just a tad heavier than the older blue variety, but not much. Gives you that ol’ time feel. On the outside, the fabric is "unbrushed" because we wanted that fantastic, slightly rough, matt look for these. The downside is that it collects a lot of hair.

There's a light polyester batting on the inside. The nice fabric layer that caresses your head is viscose.

Care

Dry clean only, don't throw this into the washing machine! You don’t need to wash these normally in any case. Brushing is usually enough. This hat has a very long service life unless you lose it.

A proper classic, the humble flat cap is the cornerstone of traditional "working class" headwear, although it fits just about anybody regardless of age and gender. The one who came up with this kind of cap must have been a genius. As a historical note, these actually slowly evolved from the Tudor hats. Our hat follows a very basic and clean style, looks good, and sits properly on yer noggin.
