Features

This is nothing too fancy, but just what you need from a side pouch on your backpack. The zipper is covered to protect it from water, abrasion, and dirt. The vertical webbing on the front keeps the compression straps of your backpack neatly in place over the pouch. This also enables the straps to compress the pouch properly. They can also be used as attachment points for bungee cords, carabiners, and stuff like that.

A 25 mm webbing loop and a D-ring on top of the rear interior wall allow you to secure small and important stuff. The flat rear compartment offers rudimentary organization for smaller stuff. A grommet at the bottom removes any water that may seep into the pouch.

Use

You cannot cram anything huge in a small 4-liter pouch. However, the compact size also makes these well suited for small backpacks with limited height/width on the sides. Below there are some examples of what you can fit in one of these:

• Medium-size tarp and accessories
• Lightweight puffy jacket, rain suit, or poncho
• Regular 1,5-liter water bottle and some other stuff
• 0.7-liter insulated food jar
• Jetboil stove and one gas cartridge
