Measurements

These run a tad large to fit clothes underneath, so do not oversize. If you intend to use this as a casual jacket, picking a notch slimmer size than the measurements say would do just fine.

Our model in the main picture has a 96 cm / 38"chest, but the jacket worn is Small Regular (171-179 / 84-92 cm) / (5' 7" - 5' 11" / 33" - 36") and fits much better.

These are made in various widths and lengths. The Austrian Bundesheer size is in the brackets with regular numbers for the width and Roman numerals for the length.

The size conversions and recommendations are based on our measuring work, customer feedback, and naturally wearing these ourselves. Don't get hung up on the numbers, though: surplus clothes often have variation.

If you're looking for a good summer jacket that doesn't make you "pop", look no further. The current issue Austrian Anzug 03 field jacket is very simple: button closure, three zippered pockets, and adjustable cuffs. Made of ripstop reinforced cotton or polycotton blend. Modern cut for ease of movement.

The front closure has hidden buttons, one of the best options for field use: durable and easily fixed if necessary.

The jacket has exactly three zippered pockets: two on the chest and one on the sleeve. Some zipper pulls may have seen better days. Other features include a hem ribbing, which gives the jacket a sharper look when worn, ventilation holes under the armpits, and adjustable cuffs. The sleeves can easily be rolled up if needed. There are slight variations in the cuffs: some have buttons, while others feature hook and loop adjustments.

Condition

In used but serviceable condition, and repaired when deemed necessary. Some of the zippers might have had some rough times though.
