Technical details and instructions

Materials

The fabric is made from soft, flexible 100% Merino wool. The patch doesn’t contain any substances harmful to humans or nature.

Use

  1. Remove the patch halfway from the protective liner. Avoid touching the adhesive side.
  2. Place the uncovered section on the spot you wish to repair and peel away the rest of the liner.
  3. If the hole is big, put the smaller patch on the other side.
  4. Rub the patch firmly with a spoon, fingernail, or other blunt object against a hard surface for 1-3 minutes, and you’re done.

Store the unused patches in a closed bag. The bag they come in is closable, as long as you don’t rip it open blindly like a raging berserker.

Washing

After patching, wait at least 3 days before washing the garment. You can wash the patch in the washing machine at max. 30 Degrees Celsius (86 F) and use the tumble dryer. However, check out the washing instructions for the garment, and if they say no tumble dryer, believe that. No fun if the fabric patch survives but the garment doesn’t. No dry cleaning, bleaches, stain removers, fabric softeners, laundry vinegar, or gall soap.

Certain chemicals in laundry detergents can reduce wash resistance. However, the great thing about Merino wool clothing is that you don’t need to wash them often. Airing them out is usually enough. Minor fraying is a product feature.
