Once again a prime example of good military surplus! Thick for a collared shirt, the Austrian Bundesheer used these as the outer layer in summer months. An excellent choice when you need a mid-layer shirt that doubles as a light, somewhat windproof, fast-drying outer layer - and want to look good while you chew bubblegum and kick ass. Measurements

The fit is like that of a shirt, not loose like on a jacket. The sleeves are roomy, though.

These are made in various widths and lengths. The Austrian Bundesheer size is in the brackets with regular numbers for the width and Roman numerals for the length.

The size conversions and recommendations are based on our measuring work, customer feedback, and naturally wearing these ourselves. Don't get hung up on the numbers, though: surplus clothes often have variation.

Pay attention! The numbers are recommended body measurements, not garment measurements.

Female sizes

Sometimes, we get these, too! The regular numbers indicate the female size, and the Roman numerals the length. These seem rather loose-fitting. There is enough space for boobs, and the waist isn't too narrow.

Technical details and instructions

Materials

The fabric consists of 67% polyester and 33% viscose, and it has a thick, quite windproof weave. This is good—if the jacket gets wet, it dries pretty fast. It does, however, mean that you might not want to run into a burning house while wearing this.

Features

There is a button closure, two roomy breast pockets, and epaulets. The color is predominantly grayish olive drab, but it varies a bit from green to brownish tint; see the pictures. We won't differentiate.

Note: The Austrian Bundesheer sleeve insignia might not be included. Some have it, some don't.

Condition

Austrian military surplus. In used but perfectly serviceable condition. Some might have well-made repairs or something, but overall these are very nice.
