Technical details and instructions

High quality Merino wool

Merino wool is finer and softer than regular wool and has better heat retaining capabilities than regular wool. Polyester is added to the mix to give the fabric more durability.

  • 80/20 merino wool / polyester, 180 g/m2 / 5.3 oz/yd2
  • 19.5 micron
  • Mulesing free!
  • Made in Lithuania

Wash and care

This merino wool blend is machine-washable in 40 degrees Celcius (104 F). Don't leave them in a wet lump after washing, but reshape them gently while still damp. Merino wool does not need to be washed often. Usually airing them out will be enough to remove any odours.

The multifunctionality and light material make this a very versatile piece of kit. When you have a beanie, neck tube, balaclava (and everything in between) in a single package the L1 Balaclava is a no-brainer to pack along no matter when or where you´re heading. Naturally, this is at its strongest in the chilly and cold seasons, but even cool summer nights sometimes require some chill protection, especially when sleeping under the stars.

Merino wool is a fantastic choice for next-to-skin wear. Most notably it feels good against the skin and retains most of it´s insulating properties even when soaking wet.
