Magpul STR Carbine Schaft, Mil-Spec

The Magpul STR (Storage/Type Restricted) - Mil-Spec is an enhanced replacement telescoping stock for AR-15 / M4 carbines using Mil-Spec sized receiver extension tubes. This model has a friction lock, not unlike the CTR stock, and also features water-resistant storage tubes.

Designed for light, fast action, the streamlined A-frame profile avoids snagging and shields the release latch to prevent accidental activation. The rear features two integral sling loops and a reversible QD sling mount that will accept any push-button sling swivel.

As an extra feature over the CTR, the STR has two storage tubes. Each tube will store up to two (2) CR123A lithium or AA batteries. Tubes are accessible from the rear in any stock position via hand-removable rubber plugs.

The STR features a friction lock system that minimizes stock movement, which should at least soothe your mind if you have time to be bothered by things like that. (We do admit that ordinary telescopic stocks sometimes catch and pick facial hair and it's a reeally serious problem.)

The Mil-Spec model fits 1.15" receiver extension tubes and includes a standard 0.3" thick rubber butt-pad, which provides positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even with body armor or modular gear.
