Tuotekuvaus
Jääkäri M on Kevyen Rajapartion pohjalta suunniteltu moderni päiväreppu, sellainen jossa kehtaa kantaa painavampaakin lastia selän tai repun huutamatta hoosiannaa. Kauan kuului sana, että Savotan Kevyt Rajapartio oli Suomenmaan paras sotareppu. Vaan nyt kävi näin, että tittelille löytyi vielä kovempi kandidaatti - Jääkäri M! Tukevan rungon päälle rakennettu monipuolinen ja kovintakin rankaisua kestävä, kunnon jääkärireppu vaativaan käyttöön!
Vähän kuin Kevyt Rajapartio, mutta enemmän
Jääkäri M on Kevyen Rajapartion seuraava kehitysaskel. Perusidea on ja pysyy, kompakti reppu joka on kokoisekseen todella tukeva kantaa, kapea muotoilu ei vaikeuta liikkumista ahtaissakaan paikoissa tai vaikeassa maastossa.
Erot Kevyeen Rajapartioon ovat ensinnäkin kaikkien metallisten liukusolkien vaihto ITW Nexuksen pistosolkiin, kestävä ja luotettava ratkaisu joka tekee repun käytöstä paljon kivempaa. Kaikille sivuille on lisätty runsaasti PALS-nauhakujastoa lisätaskujen- ja tarvikkeiden kiinnitystä varten. Vanha termospullopidike on korvattu nykyaikaisella juomarakkolokerolla. Uusi hihna- ja läppärakenne tekee yli- ja alipakkaamisesta entistä helpompaa ja tukevampaa, lopputuloksena ällistyttävän monikäyttöinen reppu joka suoriutuu kiitettävästi niin päivittäisessä arkikäytössä kuin 24-48 h tai pidemmilläkin metsäreissuilla!
Ominaisuudet
- Iso päälokero, suljetaan hyvin peittävällä läpällä ja kiristettävällä vedenpitävällä suojakauluksella.
- Läppä on ns. kelluva, eli sen korkeutta pystyy säätämään molemmin puolin hihnojen avulla. Näin ylipakatun repun saa tukevaksi ja hyvin suojatuksi.
- Läpän sisällä vetoketjusulkuinen tasku, erinomainen kaikelle arvokkaalle pientavaralle.
- Sisältöön pääsee näppärästi käsiksi myös sivulta pitkän vetoketjun kautta, ei tartte purkaa koko repun sisältöä jonkun pientarvikkeen eteen. Vetoketjussa on kaksi vedintä, eli avaus onnistuu ihan mistä kohtaa ketjua tahansa.
- Sivuissa mainiot pikalukolliset kompressiohihnat joilla repun saa kiristettyä tiukemmaksi kun tavaramäärä niin sallii.
- Sivukompressiohihnoja voi myös käyttää lisätavaran sitomiseen repun kylkeen, esim. sadeviitta tai laavukangas kulkee tässä mainiosti.
- Sivuilla alhaalla avoimet taskupussit esim. työkalujen varsille. Näihin sopivat myös pienet juomapullot, kunhan pullon kaulan sujauttaa sivukompressiohihnan alle.
- Selkäpuolella alareunassa kaksi nauhalenkkiä, näillä saa varmistettua esim. repun selkämykseen kiinnitetyn kirveen tai sauvan varren ettei pääse ihan villisti heilumaan.
- Läpän sulkevat hihnat kiertävät rinkan selkäpuolelta pohjan poikki, eli kompressoivat ja tukevoittavat kantaumusta myös tästä suunnasta. Hihnojen taakse on toki myös mahdollista helposti sujauttaa esim. sadetakin tai isommankin rullan kantoon!
- Pohjassa kiinnikkelenkit irtohihnoille, tähän saa esim. makuualustan kiinni.
- Selkää vasten verkkokankainen juomarakkolokero, erinomainen esim. Sourcen WLPS juomarakolle!
- Ulostuloaukot juomaletkulle tai radion antennille molemmin puolin repun yläosassa.
Kantovehkeet
- Selän sisällä ulosvedettävä muovinen tukilevy omassa lokerossaan. Muovi ei ole mitään pilipalia, samaa on käytetty esim. Kevyt Rajapartiossa iät ja ajat, ei pauku päreiksi paukkupakkasillakaan.
- Anatomisesti muotoillut olkaviilekkeet irroitettavalla pikalukollisella rintaremmillä. Runsaasti nauhakujia esim. juomaletkun kiinnitystä varten.
- Niskassa perinteinen kantolenkki.
- Erittäin mukavat, kunnolliset pehmustetyynyt selkää vasten. Päällepäin karut, mutta naurettavan toimivat!
- Nokkelasti muotoiltu kevyt ja pieniprofiilinen mutta jämäkkä lantiovyö jossa kaksipäisesti säädettävä pikasolki. Vyössä kiinnistylenkkejä taskuille ja muille tarvikkeille.
- Lantiovyön voi halutessaan taittaa alaselän pehmustetyynyn taakse pois tieltä

This is a pack that doesn't coddle you. At the end of a long journey, you may resent her lack of comfort or motherly warmth. But by God will she get there; through thorns and hedgerows, dropped out of a chopper or chained to the back of a truck. She will take it all and come back grinning, asking for seconds.
Every part of this pack is built with intent, as the label says "made to endure". I added the frame, some extra third-party shoulder pads (Hazard 4, near perfect match), and the obligatory happy patch. Now the only things holding me back is my own weakness of body and will, for it is certainly not going to be my Jääkäri M.
If comfort is a big concern to you, look elsewhere. Any of over a dozen brands can be had in any outdoor store that will cradle you with intricate suspension systems that won't give you spontaneous scoliosis from overpacking. If however, you need a bag to survive a third class train ride across India, this might well be your ruck. The back padding won’t give you the warm fuzzies, but I’m pretty sure I could leave it outside to be molested by a pack of angry stray dogs only to come back to see it has somehow won the fight and is now the alpha.
And if ever I find myself beginning to waver, I just look at that smirking bitch of traumatic spinal injury waiting to happen; and I tell myself to "suck it up, Buttercup" and I keep on keeping on, lest I disappoint my mistress.

I got this pack a few weeks ago and it was so frighteningly crisp out of the box, but after some usage the fabric has laxed up and the webbing no longer cuts my fingers apart. I am glad to see a 2024 on the label. M05 is such an excellent pattern I really saw nothing else like it on my trip through NY I took it for on it's first urban test. I've looked around and there's a few copies of this pack that are about the same price whereas this is the real deal.
This excels at form though, it is always a good experience dropping and picking it up and running with it at maximum capacity. And the whole point is that you can strap all sorts of extra content to it right out of the box. Inside I can just barely fit a compressed carinthia defence 4 which I had got an M05 one in the same order, before the sleeping bag went out of stock. Without any attachments I can easily rig a thermarest and the defence 4 to the already present buckles the pack still maintains it's caterpillar form, which I think is the best trait about this pack is that it is symmetrical in many ways, and adding load is not a struggle. Even with the 20L~ taken up by the defence 4 internally, I can still fit a laptop behind it safely which is a big bonus to not have swinging gear when going through urban areas.
My gripes are that the back, underside of the straps, cushion of the belt, has absolutely no aeration mesh, which make this thing like sandpaper until it is a lot more used, but a sweatshirt is enough to make it invisible, it is concerning without a shirt. This is something that could be fixed with a mod, not sure how easily though. However the back structure is fine and the plastic plate + things inside for the M is enough to keep a lot of structure.
Another problem is the access zipper and bladder hole does not look exactly watertight at it's closure and could have done with more fabric trickery. I could see this bag being able to survive some serious puddles if those weren't so open, but I have to use it a lot longer ways to find out. It would have also been nice to have one more pocket or two inside on the walls, but that isn't a big deal.
Overall, you're buying this pack for it's caterpillar profile and other ones at the price point won't keep that form. And the M05 print is having a gorgeous forest print that blends in many conditions rather than typical camo which can stand out in urban areas. It also makes a surprisingly great pillow when you bed down.

Been a while since I have it, and damn it's exactly if not better as it's advertised. So good materials and quality.
In deep love with it, tried for travel, loaded up to the limit, and it was super comfortable to have it on.
I am about to buy the XL right now + the keikka 30L because of how good of an impression this backpack did on me.
So yeah if you are looking into this backpack and you can afford it, GET it!! You won't be disapointed. : )
