Annoyed by your rifle's clunky hunting stock? The MDT XRS combines the aesthetics of a traditional rifle stock with modern modularity. Its rigid aluminum core and ergonomic design go hand in hand, featuring an adjustable cheek rest and length of pull, and M-LOK attachment points for accessories.
This stock is for shooters who want the fit and feel of a traditional rifle stock combined with the benefits of a modern precision rifle chassis system.
The MDT XRS stocks are currently available for short-action rifles, including the Tikka T3 and Remington 700, as well as for the CZ 457 rimfire rifle. The Tikka and Remington stocks are compatible with AICS magazines (short action), while the CZ uses its factory magazines.
A chassis, in this context, refers to a rigid metal frame to which the rifle’s action is mounted with torque screws – directly, without bedding compounds or woodworking. This type of stock is The Shit if you want to shoot accurately and at long range.
A chassis stock can either be entirely metal or feature a metal core encased in another material. In the MDT XRS, the aluminum spine is surrounded by polymer panels.
The MDT XRS is made from CNC-machined 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum, paired with durable, textured polymer panels for insulation from the elements. Its rigid metal bedding system ensures a precise fit and optimal performance, maximizing the accuracy of your rifle setup. The stock includes a replaceable, molded, and textured grip system with both an angled and a vertical grip included.
The MDT XRS is an advanced and adaptable hybrid stock, offering a significant performance upgrade for factory rifles. Weighing approximately 1.8 kg / 3.9 lbs (depending on the model), the XRS is suitable for both hunting and precision shooting. The stock features an adjustable length of pull via spacers ranging from 33 - 38 cm / 13" - 15", as well as a quick-adjust cheek rest to optimize scope height over the barrel. It supports AICS-pattern magazines and includes an easy-to-use ambidextrous magazine latch (except for rimfire models). The 30 cm / 12.5" long forend features M-LOK slots for mounting accessories, ARCA rails, or Picatinny rails.
The forend can accommodate barrels up to 1.25" / 31.75 mm in diameter. The rear stock includes ambidextrous QD mounting points for a sling, as well as traditional sling swivel studs on both the buttstock and forend.
