Use

The Dutch military rain poncho is designed to fit on top of the helmet and other gear so it should fit big and tall folks in civilian life as well. This thin and light fella also adapts to really bad weather if you pair it with the Dutch woobie poncho liner. A budget version of a thermal cloak. Loud and not as good but also quite a bit cheaper.

These have grommets around the edges so that this chameleon of the garment world can also be used as a tarp.

Do you tend to lose the carrying bags of your camping gear? Now it is a bit more difficult because the bag is attached to the inside of the poncho. "It also "works" as a very unpractical pocket. In case you like to squeeze things into very small bundles, don’t use the bag. You can fit it in even smaller spaces.

Condition

Used Dutch military surplus. Some of these have seen a bit more use. So, there can be wrinkles and stains but they are still usable. In case you like to iron everything, including your underwear, you might be happier buying a new rain poncho instead.
