Color lights explained

The various color options of a headlamp are not just for fun and games. Each one serves a purpose and offers special benefits over the white light.

Red: Discreet light that preserves your night vision.
Green: Improved contrast when reading maps, commonly used in aviation.
Blue: Difficult to detect from afar, helpful when following a blood trail or inspecting a wound. Also improves visibility in water without frightening the fish.
You can select a continuous or strobe light according to your needs for colored lights.

The lamp has a single button for the quick and easy selection of brightness or light color. The battery charge indicator displays the battery level each time the lamp is turned on or off. The Lock function prevents the lamp from turning on during transit or storage.

There are three white lighting modes and two red/green/blue modes. Wide, uniform beam so you can comfortably see up-close or at your feet. If you need to illuminate things very far away, this isn’t your lamp. The lamp has a detachable and washable headband, and it can be tilted up or down on the band. The lamp is dustproof and waterproof (1 m of water for 30 minutes).

The headlamp comes with three AAA/LR03 batteries and is also compatible with the CORE rechargeable battery (not included). It automatically detects the energy source and adjusts lighting performance.

You can mount the lamp on a helmet or a bicycle using the Helmet Adapt and Bike Adapt 2 mounts (sold separately by Petzl).
