The Austrian Bundesheer field cap with traditional Germanic design and a bright emergency-exit green color.

The basic Bundesheer field cap is very similar to the one they use in the German Bundeswehr. It looks a bit like a side cap with a peak added to the front and a lot of room for the forehead. The standard for modern mountain jaeger caps. This model differs from the regular Austrian field cap because of the lack of a cockade on the front. It’s main feature is the shining green color which means everyone will notice you wherever you go. This is a good feature in some situations, and bad in others.

This flat army cap is very well suited for hot weather: it's made of lightweight 67/33 polyester-viscose and has ventilation grommets on the sides.

The peak is stiffened with fabric only; there are no hard plastics in the piece of headwear. This allows the cap to be folded and stowed in a jacket pocket when going indoors or other "no hat no salute"-areas.
