This is the liner for the Vz.67 Czechoslovakian 3-piece sleeping bag. If you can find the outer bag and the blanket, you have the whole set! This can also be used in other sleeping bags or as a bed sheet. A one-off lot!
Features
At first glance one might think this is some sort of a hospital textile for the bright color – blood and other bodily excretions would be highly visible. We guess it’s a good feature also in sleeping bag liners, no need to doubt Eastern Bloc sleeping bag engineers there!
- Material is probably 100% cotton
- Color is a hospital-like "mental green"
- The size is complex – this thing is a nonsymmetrical polygon when flat
- Resting area 80 x 230 cm / 32" x 90"
- The side part of 80 x 190 cm / 32" x 75" folds over leaving your face uncovered
- The sides have buttonholes every 20 cm / 8" or so
- Weight 800 g / 28 oz. – this is quite sturdy stuff
Vz.67 Sleeping Bag
This shroud is part of a 3-piece system with an outer bag, a blanket, and this thing. The system is buttoned together and then enjoyed by the user. Unfortunately we don’t have the other two elements of this majestic piece of kit, but as said, this can be used elsewhere also – the only thing keeping you back is your imagination. And let it be said: The point of a sleeping bag liner is mostly the fact that you can wash it as often as needed, whereas washing the actual sleeping bag is to be avoided.
Czechoslovakian surplus
These are nice-looking liners from the olden times and seem totally unused.
