In this product group, we have gathered some of our favorite items that are proudly designed and made in Finland. Finland has a long tradition and understanding of good design and an appreciation for quality craftsmanship. It is no wonder that Finnish design is well known amongst design enthusiasts and those who seek both beauty and functionality in the same package. Finnish design draws a lot of impressions from the harsh nature of the North and appreciates simple and pure materials and forms.

Quality before price

Finnish products cannot usually compete with the price but they aren’t necessarily the most expensive option either. The main factor affecting pricing is simply that here in Finland you need to pay the workers, which some other countries consider an odd practice. The other reason is quality. Fast fashion and other crap equipped with a self-destruct mechanism is a lot cheaper to make because you don’t have to worry that it has to survive very long.

Responsible Finnish production

When you see products made in Finland, you know that they are not manufactured in some sweatshop using child labor. Salary was already mentioned but let’s also add work safety, work healthcare, sensible working hours, and other humane working conditions that are everyday things here but some countries haven’t even heard of. So, it is very ethical production.
