Inflating and deflating

The pump section of the mattress has self-inflating foam and one-way valves to push air into the mattress when compressed and drag air into the pump from the outside as the foam expands. The system is rather lightweight and barely noticeable but does take a fair amount of cycles to inflate the mat fully. Fear not: you can just blow into the pump to inflate the mat if you're in a hurry. When it comes to sins, you could do a lot worse.

To deflate the mat, open the valve in the corner. After rolling all the air out, it might be a good idea to close the valve, so the mattress is ready to be inflated the next time you unpack it. The only thing more boring than using the pump to inflate the mat is to attempt inflating it with the valve open.

Separate pumps and such can be a drag, but you don't want to inflate things by only blowing in a valve; the moisture inside doesn't do good in the long run. The BCO Air Mat solves this problem with an integrated pump.

Air mattresses without filling offer a decent amount of insulation from the ground but the R-value is not significant: this sleeping pad is for indoor/summer use and to increase comfort when supplemented with a cell-foam pad in cold weather.

Supplied with an elastic band to retain the roll, and a carrying pouch.
