Remote Military March Gear

Good boots. Proper socks. Then spare socks. Water. More water than you think. Something salty, something sugary, and something you’ll still want to eat after 20 km. Weather-appropriate clothing and a ruck that actually fits. Change socks before hotspots turn into blisters. Drink before you’re thirsty. Eat before you gas out. Adjust your straps and keep moving.

Safety first: bring your phone and a battery pack if needed, and tell someone where and when you’re going – especially if you’re heading out solo – and ESPECIALLY if you intend to explore some untouched frontiers. This is not supposed to be your last ruck.

It’s our global, self-paced ruck event: complete your chosen distance with the required load, wherever you are in the world during the official weekend. In 2026, VRMM takes place on April 24–26.
