Unlike everyone else, the British army just could not make a sleeping bag deal with the Teutonic devil, which is Carinthia. So they did the next best thing and copied the Tropical bag and Defence 4 bag and called it the Modular Sleeping Bag System. This is the liner for the thicker, Medium weight bag. Measurements

Available in two sizes according to the user's recommended height. Even if you'd be a little taller, you should still fit inside.

Although a shorter person can sleep inside a too-large bag, there will be some extra room in the feet to be heated up, along with unnecessary bulk.

The following measurements are taken from the bag itself:

Medium

  • Length: 190 cm / 6' 3"
  • Shoulder width: 75 cm / 29.5"
  • Weight: ~550 g / 1.2 lb

Large

  • Length: 205 cm / 6' 8.5"
  • Shoulder width: 80 cm / 31.5"
  • Weight: ~620 g / 1.35 lb
Technical details and instructions

Material

Made of polycotton, but no exact data on this.

Care

Machine wash at 40° C / 104° F if you absolutely have to. Hang dry. Using and washing this instead of the sleeping bag keeps the sleeping bag in better shape.

Description

Unlike everyone else, the British army just could not make a sleeping bag deal with the Teutonic devil, which is Carinthia. So they did the next best thing and copied the Tropical bag and Defence 4 bag and called it the Modular Sleeping Bag System. This is the liner for the thicker, Medium weight bag.

The bag is almost a direct copy of the Carinthia' sleeping bag liner. Most notable differences are the greener colour and slightly different tie-cord points.

Fits straight up inside the Medium weight, or "Defence 4" sleeping bag of the British army. Of course, by altering the places of the tie cords this can be fitted inside others as well. The tie cords are actually pretty close to match the Carinthia's bags.

Condition

Used and washed before discharged from service. Apparently, these are made by FECSA, a Spanish company that also made sleeping bags for the Dutch army at least.
