Description

A high-quality wool sweater with a zippered collar. Made in Finland! The downside: it's a single batch of a discontinued model. Grab yours while these last!

A wool sweater is a very flexible garment. Especially a light-medium weight like this is great for traveling and trekking as it doesn't weigh much or take up all the space in your pack, but it provides effective insulation when you need it.

Made of 100% lamb wool. The manufacturer recommends hand-washing only. We'd like to add that airing the garment often will reduce this need for quite some time.

Size Info

The cut is on the snug side, but this sweater is rib-knit, so it will accommodate your body contours without any undue feelings of tightness. The zippered collar will cover your throat and neck when the zipper is pulled up. When opened, the collar will fold nicely on the shoulders. This sweater has straight raglan sleeves and a straight waist. Below is a chart with the chest width from pit to pit and the center back length from the bottom of the collar to the hem. Don't read too much into the numbers but these should put you in the right ballpark. This sweater weighs 500 grams / 17.6 oz. in size Large.

This sweater is a bit longer and heavier than the o-neck Arctic Circle sweater.

Size Chest Width Back Length
Small 42 cm 16.5" 66 cm 26.0"

X-Large 54 cm 21.3" 72 cm 28.3"
2X-Large 58 cm 22.8" 74 cm 29.1"

Made by Top-Knit

The Arctic Circle brand is made by the trusted Finnish manufacturer Top-Knit. A welcome exception to the old adage "they don’t make them like they used to, at least not in the West." A veteran in the business since 1974, they are also responsible for manufacturing the Särmä Merino Wool Sweater.
