Materials

The outer tent (flysheet) is made from 100% recycled HydroTex HD RS RECYCLED polyester, PFC-free. The outer tent has a hydrostatic head of 5,000 mm, which means that it should keep the water outside even in a very heavy rainstorm. Strong and flexible tape is glued and heat sealed over flysheet seams to make them also waterproof.

The inner tent is made from breathable 68D polyester 190T. The inner floor is made from 75D polyester taffeta 210T, the hydrostatic head of which is a whopping 10,000 mm, which should be enough even in the swampy ground.

The combination of dome style and short transverse ridge pole provides three people plenty of flexible living, cooking and storage space. Excellent internal height and width enables all three occupants to sit side by side, no need to take turns! The two large doors allow easy access for all and the large twin porch areas offer ample room for gear storage and cooking needs. Locking tips and twin eyelets in sturdy webbing secure the internal poles, with the ridge pole located in a rugged pole sleeve.

Dome or Tunnel Tent?

A dome tent is an easier and quicker self-supporting option for varied terrains. A tunnel tent, on the other hand, is often more spacious for its size – especially for gear – but requires guy lines to remain upright as it is not self-supporting. A tunnel tent also handles strong winds better when properly set up and aligned lengthwise with the wind.

This dome tent has two doors/vestibules, one for each camper, so you don’t have to be annoyed by your pal blocking your entrance plus you both can keep your gear in any (dis)order you want. You can also create excellent cross ventilation through the mesh panels in both doors.
