Want to know where the merino wool comes from?

Our sock provider Sukkamestarit has joined the NATIVA™system, the purpose of which is to be able to trace the merino wool back to individual sheep farms. Because of this, you will also be able to find out where the wool for all our merino wool Varusteleka socks comes from.

From August 2020, the packages of new socks got a QR code that you can use to trace the source of the merino wool.

Care

Machine wash at 40° C / 104° F when needed. Wool cycle recommended. Air dry. Because of the wool content, these need one wash cycle before they fit perfectly. If you hang them to air after use, they don't need to be washed that often.

The socks will settle as you wear them and shrink in the first wash. This is already compensated in the sizing.

Description

Socks so thin you could swear you're wearing your shoes in a bareback fashion – except these actually manage to dodge the stink problem, thanks to merino wool. Stock up properly with this multipack: 3, 6, 10, or 12 pairs. Get enough pairs for your needs.

These sit between a liner sock and a regular, everyday sock. No terry sole – just a light merino wool blend, mid-height cut, and a comfortable 40 mm ribbed cuff that stays put without digging in. If our regular Merino Wool Socks are a bit much for the hot weather, or if your shoes run tight, these are the answer.

In winter, layering socks prevents blisters and chafing more effectively than one thick pair alone, and the inner sock should always be the lighter one, exactly like this one.
