A simple 2-piece nylon strap to be used as sternum strap for anything with shoulder straps. Affordable and extremely handy. This 2-piece strap is about 50 cm / 20" at max length.
The advantages of a sternum strap are:
- Prevents your rucksack from flopping around
- Takes a bit of the weight off your shoulders if needed
- Prevents the shoulder straps from sliding off your shoulders
Of course attaching the sternum strap is made easier if your backpack already has loops on the shoulder straps. 25 mm width strap should pass through most loops.
Made in Estonia
These are made in Estonia by Finn-Savotta Oy, one of our subcontractors. Materials are cut and prepared in Finland, assembled in Estonia. This is because of two reasons: first of all Finn-Savottas production schedules are so packed full of huge military orders that we'd have to wait months to get these sewn in Finland. The second thing is that this way we can cut the retail price by a third! Quality-wise these are the same as Savotta's Finnish sewn stuff, so no worries there.
