In addition to being good pieces of kit, the Dutch modular system is dirt cheap. The price doesn't reflect quality: this is a proper army issue, built to last. Here's the water bottle pouch.
Simple construction: no dividers or anything to confuse a grunt. Drain grommet in the bottom. Some of the pouches have a "Spanish Fly" closure, others have a regular plastic buckle. Both are good - we haven't separated them.
Molle compatible
Attaches to anything with PALS on it, such as MOLLE gear, and even standard belts.
Genuine Dutch army surplus
In used but good serviceable condition. The camouflage might be a bit faded and such, but these kinds of things don't affect its use at all.

Fits a U.S. milsurp canteen, albeit a little snug. Will not fit the US canteen with a canteen cup on it. The Dutch stuff is well made and inexpensive!

Excellent general purpose pouch! As someone else wrote, fits a nalgene 1L bottle. I use it to carry a smaller insulated bottle and snacks on my hikes, or to carry some 8lb weights to weigh down my U.S. M56 webbing and build endurance.

Good pouch, but it does not fit the black insulated pouch the Dutch canteen comes with, if you wanted to double them up. Not taking anything away from the score for that though.
