There can be only one… Särmä and Särmä TST are being folded into Varusteleka. This has been going on for a while already, which is why you’ve seen “old versions” in the webstore at reduced prices. Those are the last batches with the old labels. When they’re gone, they’re gone – and we’re giving them a proper push with clearance sale prices.
But: this isn’t just a label swap. Some products will only change name, some will be discontinued, and some will be replaced altogether. The few remaining items that were made in China are being phased out and replaced with new versions made in the EU with higher production standards. At the same time, we’re putting more focus on battleproof, field-ready clothing and gear – the kind of stuff that’s meant to be used hard and last a long time.
New sizes! All new Varusteleka-branded clothing already follows the updated sizing. The smaller sizes are now slightly roomier, medium is roughly the same as before, and the larger sizes are a bit trimmer. Check the size chart if you’re used to the old Särmä fit.
