Extra socks are something that you should always have on your travels. Merino wool socks are the best choice for hiking socks or outdoor socks. Merino wool is such an excellent material for socks – the fabric is light, and it breathes well. Merino wool is perfectly suitable for both warm and cold weather, there’s just something magical in it! Believe it or not, merino socks warm your feet even when wet. If you don’t believe, you are wrong. This makes merino socks the perfect choice for all outdoor activities, like hiking. The question is: Is there anything merino wool socks can’t do? Probably not.

In outdoor activities, socks are an important – yet often overlooked – part of a system that consists of your socks, footwear, and insoles. The well-being of your feet will affect your overall health and state of mind. If your feet are toast, movement stops. If your movement stops, you can imagine circumstances where that can be a very, very bad thing.

Avoiding blisters, chafing, and excessive sweating starts with choosing the right kind of socks and using them correctly. With the right socks, you can improve the health of your feet, toes, and toenails. The effect is more significant the heavier the physical stress is, but a good pair of socks will work miracles also when it's time to relax. You can just imagine what it feels like when you put on thick merino socks on a chilly winter morning, light the fireplace, make some coffee, and wait for the warmth to spread through your house.

Merino wool socks are simply the best. They don’t necessarily need washing, you just put them up to dry and get some air, and they are ready for use again. Especially when you are on a hike (or in field conditions in general), washing machines are probably not around.

Besides regular sock models, our selection includes hiking socks, military boot socks, knee socks, and short socks. The best military socks are of course made of merino wool. We have also made sure that all the merino wool in our products is mulesing-free.
