Technical details and instructions

This batch has sacks in two sizes; the shorter/wider (c. 86 x 97 cm / 34" x 38") and the longer/narrower (c. 66 x 114 cm / 26" x 45"). Both of them fit lots of stuff, and the price is cheap. Thus, we didn’t sort them out because both sizes work very well.

Features

This is a very simple sack without any easy-to-break flippetyflaps. We were told that these are Czech, but they may as well be Czechoslovakian; the sack is such a timeless classic after all. Metal grommets at the mouth. A rope is looped through the grommets, and it functions both as a drawcord and a carrying strap. The material is thick, sturdy, and densely woven, most likely cotton. The color is sort of greenish brown, but it varies a bit from sack to sack.

Condition

Used Czech or Czechoslovakian military surplus. These are all serviceable and will last many years to come. But they may have some small stains and other signs of use. After all they are used.
