Finnish Brutality history

Embracing the suck since 2018

How it all started

The Brutality match series began with the very first Desert Brutality in 2017, created by InRange TV. Varusteleka jumped in as the main sponsor – and of course, we shot the match ourselves. What we found was something completely different from the usual IPSC or Finnish Reservist Association competitions. The mix of physical challenge, mental pressure, and shooting skills was exactly what we’d been waiting for.

So, in 2018, with the support of InRange TV, we brought the concept home and organized the very first Finnish Brutality.

Since then, Finnish Brutality has grown into one of the world’s premier shooting matches, known and respected across the global shooting community. Held every year, it has tested competitors in everything from warm Finnish summers to the freezing depths of winter – always with stages designed to be equal parts demanding and devilish fun.

The concept has inspired others as well: Lynx Brutality by Polenar Tactical in Slovenia, and the latest addition, Viking Brutality in Sweden, run by the Semper Paratus crew.

Varusteleka owns the Brutality brand in Europe, and together with our partners, we’re committed to delivering the most fun, unique, and challenging shooting experiences well into the future.
