A 3-position function switch allows you to turn the light on and select one of the two functions available. A dedicated mode switch toggles between the visible and IR modes to maintain illumination discipline.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe function switch features a nub below to allow checking the selected function by finger-feel even with gloves on. The mode switch has a smaller similar nub above, or you can just memorize \"Visible \/ Front\" and \"IR \/ Rear\" - assuming you mounted the light correctly.
